Behavioural Data Scientist

Laura Maria
Fetz.

I bring psychology, education, and data science together to explore human behaviour — through statistical modelling, machine learning, and thoughtful research.

02 / About me

Curiosity,
with a quantitative lens.

I’m an interdisciplinary researcher with master’s degrees in Behavioural Data Science and Child Development & Education from the University of Amsterdam.

My work combines quantitative research, statistical modelling, and machine learning to better understand human behaviour, psychological processes, and educational outcomes.

I enjoy working with complex datasets, exploring methodological challenges, and translating research questions into meaningful analyses.

Writing Examples

Writing is another way I explore the questions that interest me — from child development to culture and society.

05 / Methods & skills

Understanding people.
Working with data.

I’m interested in how computational and statistical methods can help us understand complex psychological and social phenomena.

01 / Statistical modelling

Patterns across people & time

Structural equation modelling, multilevel modelling, longitudinal data analysis, generalised linear mixed models, network analysis, and Monte Carlo simulation.

02 / Psychometrics

Making measurement meaningful

Classical test theory, item response theory, confirmatory factor analysis, measurement invariance, and latent variable modelling.

03 / Machine learning

Prediction with perspective

Supervised learning, classification, regression, natural language processing, model evaluation, and interpretable approaches.

04 / Research practice

From questions to clear findings

Research design, data management, statistical inference, and data visualisation — with an interest in methodological challenges.

06 / Beyond data

There’s a whole world
outside the dataset.

Outside of research and coding, I love travelling, exploring new cultures, learning languages, and discovering good food.

I’m always curious about new places, people, and experiences.
